I AM SO NEW, I SQUEAK!

I am a novice, a newbie, an infant,if you will. I know nothing! I have been a member of Hub Pages for a whopping 48 hours and I have been reading voraciously and I still understand so little. I think what I am writing now is a blog, but I'm not sure. I don't know what a spammer is. I have tried very hard to add a widget(?), but it did not work. Adding links? Forget it! What I am trying to impress upon the Hub community at large is that I need help. I am very willing to accept criticism, as long as it is constructive and instructive.

What I need is hand holding. I like holding hands! Well, you can't really hold my hand, but we can pretend, can't we? I do like to write and I am hoping to get much better at it. Is there anybody out there that that would have any advice to give? Moral support, perhaps? Simple definitions? I'll take anything! Well, not anything, but you get the picture. Ok, I have sent out my SOS and I am here waiting. Rescue me, please. Going down for the last time. Ok, that's a little dramatic. Sorry. Did you get my digits? See ya, bye!

Addendum

I am updating this hub because I am on day 24 and have written 23 hubs. I am having so much fun, and am learning from everyone. This is new chapter in my life (pun definitely intended) and I am becoming someone else. Thanks hubbers for your support! I don't feel so lost now.

I have been on Hubpages for a little over 5 weeks now and have even made a tiny bit of money, ($3.00). I can only expect it to get better. I know I have more confidence in my writing and I even have a few fans. I enjoy reading other people's articles and I learn from each and every one of them. I will keep updates coming because it helps me track my progress. Nov, 28, 2009. My next step will be to try and sign up with ebay. I tried once but I didn't have enough material. Ebay has proved too difficult, so I won't become an affiliate anytime soon. Maybe Amazon will be enough.

Oops!

December 1st, 2009 Ok, now, I just feel stupid. I will not tell you exactly how long that I tried to figure out how to reformat my hubs (i.e. move the capsules around), but I am sitting here with red cheeks and an embarrassed air about me. Thank you to the hubbers that told me that my hubs were too scrolly. That is my own word, it means to scroll and scroll and scroll. It motivated me to find the solution to my problem. I found it in the hubpages help forum. I now know how to move my capsules around and I am giggling with delight. Look for improvements in my hub designs!

I have updated all of hubs, completed the thirty day hub challenge, and now I am working on the hubmob articles.

January, 2010: I have been joining the hubmobs weekly and have found that it is loads of fun. I still don't get much more traffic, but I suppose that will come in time. I am still trying to figure out backlinks and have not been writing as much as before due to outside work issues. Still, I am getting more click thrus and a few sales on Amazon. Please, if you like this hub, rate it up.

I have been writing on hubpages for a little over 3 months and I am getting better each time. there is so much information on this site that I could read every day for hours and still have some things to learn. My adsense is slowly increasing and I am getting far more clicks than I used to. My amazon sales are tiny, but I am getting a little more traffic than before. I would like to find out how to get much more traffic, but I suppose that will come in time.

February, 2010: I have written 61 hubs and I have 87 followers. I keep learning new ways to improve my hubs and I hope that they are getting better. I wouldn't mind a little feedback, I usually take instruction well.
