Sarah Palin: "Going Rouge" On David Letterman
69Sarah In The Spotlight
Sarah Palin is again in the spotlight with the release of her new book, Going Rouge. Again, David Letterman has new material for his late night show. Lately, Letterman has stepped up his campaign to make a joke out of the former Alaskan governor's life. It is no secret that Palin and Letterman are not exactly friends, but he has recently began to mention her in almost every show with a disparaging remark or two. Political candidates have always been good material for jokes to comics and late night show hosts, but Letterman went a little too far when he joked inappropriately about Palin's underage daughter being "knocked up" by Alex Rodriguez. Not only did Letterman insinuate that Palin's daughter was promiscuous, he also insinuated that Alex Rodriguez was a pedophile. The Palins were livid about the remark as was Mr. Rodriguez. More recently, Letterman was forced to admit to extramarital sex to avoid blackmail.
The Book
Going Rouge hit the shelves today, November18th, 2009 and Sarah Palin couldn't be more pleased. She was given a seven figure advance and, starting with interviews with Oprah and Barbara Walters, she will also kick off her book tour today. She will travel by bus with her family for the biggest part of the it. The interesting thing about her book is that it doesn't have an index, so no one can look themselves up, they will have to read it! The book, itself, was released amid quite a bit of controversy. McCain's camp is already denying parts of it and the media is looking into past finances to refute it. Sarah was asked by Barbara Walters to rate President Obama between one and ten and she gave him a four. Obama shot back that he and she had very different political philosophies. Sarah says she calls it like she sees it. Find out how she sees it on her facebook and twitter page.It will be interesting to watch the news shows this week, though I can't help wondering if a male candidate had an underage pregnant daughter, if anyone would have batted an eye.

I quit watching Letterman over his politics, well the way he treats politicians he doesn't like.
Good hub.
